Millbrook Year-End News: Upgrades, Adventures, and Heartfelt Memories
We wanted to share some exciting news about the developments happening at Millbrook. As we head into 2024, we have some lovely changes in the pipeline that we believe will be great for all our guests.
2023 has been a challenging year for us as a family. However, we have decided that Millbrook is going to remain our home and are focusing on improving Millbrook even more. With the new year upon us, we are filled with optimism and excitement for the planned changes.
We want to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for your continued support and understanding during the challenges of the past year. Your loyalty so much to us.
🌟 Saunton Beach Hut : Experience an exclusive coastal adventure this summer at our Saunton Sands Beach Hut, situated on North Devon's top dog-friendly beach. Enjoy nature's beauty and spacious relaxation. Explore the beach cafe, water sports, or unwind by the sea. You will be able to prebook the beach hut for the day, a week before you arrive with a link in your arrival email!
🔨 Refurbishments : We're excited to share our refurbishment plans for 2024 with you. First and foremost, we're pleased to announce that we will begin the year with the renovation of the Lakeview bathroom in January. This marks the start of a series of projects scheduled for the year.
To ensure the success of these refurbishments, we've welcomed a full-time maintenance professional to our team.
💍 Elopements & Vow Renewals : We are still holding our intimate elopements & Vow Renwals in the Summer House this year. We will be holding less weddings than previously. Did you know - We also offer Vow Renewals - so why not book a romantic escape to Devon and renew your vows?
🦙 Alpaca Shack: Did you know that the Alpaca shack is available for you to use at any time during your stay? Its ideal for an inclement day with a log burning stove and views over the Estate. It is an ideal location to have an afternoon tea which can be provided by one of our suppliers.
🦌 Nature Walk: Explore the beauty of our estate with our new nature walk, a haven for wildlife. This scenic stroll takes you through the enchanting Garic woods, past a serene waterfall, and around both lakes, offering a glimpse of the diverse wildlife that calls Millbrook home. From the bustling activity of a badger den to the graceful presence of wild deer, the nature walk promises an immersive experience with nature.
🌳 Tom's Tree: Celebrating the resilience of nature after tragedy, we've planted a tree in memory of our cherished Tom (Bob's son who lived with us here at Millbrook). We invite you to pay it a visit during your stay. It's a robust, strong oak, just like him.
