By Train

Our local station is Umberleigh which is around an 8-minute drive. Our nearest mainline station is Exeter, where you can change for the train to Barnstaple and alight at Umberleigh. Trains are very regular and run around 8 services each way per day. You will need to organise a taxi collection (Steve is our only local taxi on 07922 131473).

Directions from the M5

Leave the M5 at Junction 27 (Tiverton) and take the A361 towards North Devon / Barnstaple and South Molton.

Take the exit for South Molton and drive through the town following signs for Torrington (taking the B3227). Once out of the town you will travel approx 8 miles to Umberleigh Bridge. With The Rising Sun pub in front of you, turn right onto the A377 and then after about 1⁄4 mile there is a sign for High Bickington, take this road to Atherington; with the church on your right and post box on your left, turn left and continue to follow signs for High Bickington (B3217).

As you enter High Bickington, there is a zebra crossing, with new houses on the left, take the next right; Barton Meadow Road (the road goes through a newish housing estate). Follow this road until you get to the bottom of the hill (approx 1 mile). We are located at the bottom of this hill on the left, with automatic electric wooden gates and a big slate sign that says Millbrook.

Please drive slowly up the drive and park to the right of the roundabout (parking is marked on the ground).

Directions from Exeter

Follow the A377 out of Exeter towards Barnstaple, it is about 30 miles from the turn-off to High Bickington, which is signposted in the village of Portsmouth Arms. Take the left turn (towards High Bickington) and follow up the hill. Turn right at the top and follow the road into the village of High Bickington. The last road on the left of the village just before the zebra crossing is Barton Meadow Road and the road that you must take. Follow this road until you get to the bottom of the hill (approx 1 mile). We are located at the bottom of this hill on the left, with automatic electric wooden gates and a big slate sign that says Millbrook.

Directions from Cornwall/Minehead

If you are coming to us from Cornwall or the North Devon and Somerset coast please head to Barnstaple. Take the A377 to Exeter and take the turning for High Bickington is about 7 miles out of the town and take this road to Atherington; with the church on your right and post box on your left turn left and continue to follow signs for High Bickington (B3217).
