Millbrook Cottages

Dog Friendly Cottages in North Devon

Millbrook Cottages Welcomes Friendly Dogs with Nice Owners!

Millbrook was voted the second best retreat in the UK for a luxury relaxing break with a dog by Trip advisor awards 2007.

The Wheel Room and Corncott both welcome dogs, The Wheel Room will take 2 but only 1 is allowed in Corncott.

We charge £3 per night per dog, there is an option on the booking form When booking please let us know you have a dog so we are aware when you arrive.

Please do not forget to bring things that you dog may need. Please bring his own bedding and feeding bowls and remember to bring his lead.

The cottages at Millbrook do not have private gardens, but Millbrook is one big garden and for our own dogs it's paradise.

We have been to lots of places and they have pages of rules and requirements, we are not like this. We do have some guidelines for dog owners which we would appreciate you adhering to.

Please ensure that your dog is kept on a lead around the cottages, dogs can be off their leads in the other 31 acres! Within your cottage you should ensure that that they do not go onto the soft furnishings or beds.

Please do not leave your dog in the cottage unattended (we have had a case when a dog has caused damage or has needed the toilet). We have a temporary kennel onsite where a dog can be left if it is wet or if you would like to use the hot tub. Please remember dogs act differently when away from home and it is your responsibility for any damage they cause. We have locals kennels that take dogs for the day for around £10 (Whitebridge 01769 561094) and the local pubs all accept dogs.

PLEASE NOTE UNFORTUNATELY LAKEVIEW AND PULLEY MILL DO NOT WELCOME DOGS

But Dad gave me some of his fish and chips at Lynmouth so all was forgiven.....

I had a few opportunities to sleep.....on the hot tub floor.....in various friendly local pubs.....by the seats over looking the lake......but frankly it’s been pretty tiring for a puppy.....

So after a hard day at the beach and a long walk in the Millbrook grounds....I liked nothing better than a go on the Play Station with a nice glass of wine before I passed out for ten hours sleep........

WHAT A HOLIDAY ! THANKS !
I can’t wait to tell all my friends at dog crèche !
